MUSIC FREEDOM DAY. BARBARA CARLOTTI: French chanson, pop (9:30PM - 11:30PM on 03/03/2010)

With her album L'Idéal (2008) Barbara Carlotti shows us her sunny side. She is an elegant and passionate performer with the ability of writing quirky songs that stick in one’s mind. Her tunes are fresh, uplifting and make you want to get a dance vibe on. She grew up on Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and classical piano. However her inner literati soon emerged and she moved into Chanson (Poetic French song style) developing her now signature style through that medium.

Over four years, the annual Music Freedom Day — observed on 3 March — has grown into a truly global event, which inspires increasing numbers of musicians and concert organisers to join. Mumbai, Kabul, Cairo, Amman, Gdansk, The Hague and New York are some of the cities organising Music Freedom Day on 3 March this year.
