DA SAZ (Delhi): Electro acoustic (9:30PM - 11:30PM on 30/03/2010)

Da-Saz is a collective of musicians and artistes based in New Delhi, India.Featuring outstanding instrumentalists, singers and percussionists, Da-Saz aims to provide a platform to new styles of urban music through recorded albums and live performances.

Their four musicians creating new music for an urban audience that has traditional roots. At the base of it all is electronic music-live, powerful and dynamic. Over this bed of electro are layered live violin, guitar and percussion, offering creativity, groove and vigour. On top are the vocals in Urdu, Farsi, Hindustani and Punjabi—unmistakably Sufi in content and context.
